Delivering 100,000 signatures to 10 Downing Street

We call upon the Prime Minister and his government to hold a debate on this issue in parliament and then a debate in the country followed by a binding referendum on our membership of the EU.
We still need your signatures to make this the largest petition in the country so the government will listen to the people.

Outside number 10 about to hand over the petition L-R Trevor Colman MEP, Mike Nattrass MEP, Kelvin Hopkins MP,
Nikki Sinclaire MEP, Rt. Hon Nigel Dodds MP, Kate Hoey MP, Maggie Inglis, Josh O'Nyons, and a Kate Hoey staff member

Taking the petition to 10 Downing Street

Nikki Sinclaire was joined by other parliamentarians and supporters, when she marched on Westminster on the 8th September to present her Campaign for a Referendum petition to Downing Street.
Campaign for a Referendum was started in 2010. The campaign has collected over 100,000 signatures in support of getting Britain an “in or out” referendum on our continued membership of the European Union.
Nikki Sinclaire was joined by Trevor Colman MEP, Mike Nattrass MEP, Kelvin Hopkins MP, Nigel Dodds MP and Kate Hoey MP in presenting the signatures, which were a combination of traditional pen and ink signatures and online signatures through www.haveyoursay.eu
The mobile surgery has visited many towns and cities throughout the UK, collecting signatures and meeting the electorate.
We are delighted by the number of people supporting the campaign, “This is giving voice to more than 100,000 people who want a referendum on membership of the EU.This is an argument that has been going on far too long. We must have a referendum, and the Government must abide by the result.
We would like to thank all those who have signed the petition, who have warmly welcomed and encouraged our campaign wherever we have visited. We must not relent in the pressure now, as we move the campaign into the next stage.”
In submitting100,000 signatures we will force a debate but we must continue so that we can force a vote in Parliament with the ultimate goal of gaining a national referendum.

Bumping in to Education Secretary, Michael Gove in Downing Street - Nikki pointed out to him the YouGov poll that 74% of Tory voters want a referendum and 66% would vote to leave the EU.
